Air Cargo

Air Freight, also known as air cargo, is the mode of transport used to transport cargo swiftly by air. Airfreight is the most valuable form of transport when shipping or transporting goods in the fastest time around the globe. Air cargo is shipped through the same gateway as the passenger or commercial airlines.

 

Sea Cargo

Sea Freight is a method of transporting large amounts of goods using carrier ships. Goods are packed into containers and then loaded onto a vessel. A typical cargo ship can carry around 18,000 containers, which means that sea freight is a cost-efficient way to transport high quantities over large distances.

There are a number of ways in which sea freight can be transported.

 

Land & Sea Cargo

Freight transport is the physical process of transporting commodities and merchandise goods and cargo. The term shipping originally referred to transport by sea, it has been extended to refer to transport by land or air as well. “Logistics”, a term borrowed from the military environment, is also used in the same sense.

 

Air Mail Cargo

Air cargo is any property carried or to be carried in an aircraft. Air cargo comprises air freight, air express and airmail.

 

Freight Forwarder

A freight forwarder, forwarder, or forwarding agent, is a person or company that organizes shipments for individuals or corporations to get goods from the manufacturer or producer to a market, customer or final point of distribution. Forwarders contract with a carrier or often multiple carriers to move the goods from one country to another.

 

Custom Clearance

Customs clearance is the act of taking goods through the customs authority to facilitate the movement of cargo into a country (import) and outside the country (export). Also, the customs clearance means a document issued by the customs authority to a shipper indicating that all duties have been paid and the shipper’s goods is cleared for export.

 

Documentaion

A transport document is a kind of document used to convey information about cargo that is being transported.

Kinds of transport documents include:

  • Air Waybill, a transport document used for air freight
  • Bill of Lading, a transport document for sea freight
  • CMR (transport document), a transport document for road freight for use in all European countries, as well as additional countries in Asia and Africa.
